Stumptown Kennel is all about promoting, honoring, and developing this versatile breed. We think our shorthairs represent a balance between traditional German roots with high performing modern American bloodlines, making them well suited as family companions and savvy, hard-working bird dogs.
Located in Portland, Oregon, our small kennel focuses on breeding a limited number of puppies so that we can provide each with care and attention to nurture their natural abilities and carry forward what we hope will be dogs possessing superb intelligence and temperament, conformation, field performance, and sound health.
Our dogs are loving pets that live with children and families. In the field these dogs are graceful athletes with intense desire, incredible noses, and high levels of cooperation balanced by independence that enable them to hunt upland birds and waterfowl with purpose, style, and grace.
